Many
excursions are available in Pattaya; here are some
examples: the Sanctuary of Truth, Nog Nooch Tropical Garden, the Underwater
World, the Elephant Village, Mini Siam, the Crocodile Farm, Alangkarn,
Kho Larn, and much more that you can easily discover. We can advise
you about them on the premises.
Tropical
climate: it is always warm in Thailand (18° C minimum), and the
sea temperature is between 26 and 28° C all year long. The "cold"
season is from November to March, and the warm season from April to
October. Do not encumber yourself with clothing... The official language
is Thai, but English is spoken in tourist places. If interested, you
can obtain the Assimil Thai language course (book and CD) for French
speaking people; it is an essential tool to discover that language.
The
currency is the Baht, divided in 100 satangs (exchance rate on line,
on our site). You can convert Euros and Dollars (or Travellers) anywhere
in the country, or use any major credit card or Eurocard. ATMs are available
everywehere.
Travelling
alone does not pose a problem for the inexperienced, even with little
knowledge of English. Thais people are naturally helpful and, in the
most remote corner of the country, they will always find a nice way
to help you and guide you, with a smile. The road signs are all phonetically
transposed in our alphabet.
Travel
documents: no visa is necessary for a less that 30 day stay, but your
passport must be valid for up to 6 months after your date of entry in
the country. You will have no problem obtaining a visa from the Thai
consulate in all major cities for a longer than 30 day stay.
Airline:
Thai Airways and many other airline companies fly to Bangkok from all
the European and America capitals. Ask your travel agent or visit one
of the many internet sites.
